Ii. Background of the event

China is the world's largest fishing country, aquaculture aquaculture products account for more than 60% of the world's aquaculture output. In 2023, the total output of aquatic products in China was 71.1617 million tons, up 3.64 percent year-on-year. Among them, the breeding output was 58.0961 million tons, an increase of 4.39%, and the fishing output was 13.0656 million tons, an increase of 0.47%. For three consecutive years, Guangdong has maintained the position of China's largest fishery province, with the total output of aquatic products and aquaculture ranked first in China, and the total output of aquatic products exceeded 9.2402 million tons. Among them, the output of aquaculture was 7.9571 million tons, ranking first in the country for 27 consecutive years.

In this context, the Guangzhou International Aquaculture Exhibition is scheduled to be held in Guangzhou · China Import and Export Fair Exhibition Hall on September 11-13, 2025. The exhibition will continue to combine the integration of online and offline, innovate the exhibition development mode, and be the best platform for global breeding enterprises, high-end product enterprises, processing enterprises, and traders to enter the Chinese market and expand their international market share.

The last exhibition was presented jointly with the China Food Exhibition, the exhibition scale is unprecedented, with a total area of more than 60,000 square meters, and the opening ceremony welcomed more than 200 people from the agriculture and rural departments (bureaus) inside and outside the province and the main responsible comrades and associations, enterprises and representatives of various countries in Guangzhou to attend. Exhibitors come from more than 80 cities around the world, bringing together more than 2,000 exhibitors, of which 508 enterprises focus on the field of fisheries; A total of 53,886 visitors were attracted, 500 media reported on the exhibition, and more than 100 aquatic experts and professors participated.
