Myanmar Market Analysis:

Myanmar is located in the largest country on the Indochina Peninsula in Asia. It is mountainous and has many rivers and densely covered with rivers. The terrain is high in the north and low in the south. Aquaculture and Marine fisheries have become the fourth pillar of Myanmar's economy and the fourth largest foreign exchange earner. Myanmar has a coastline of more than 3,200 meters, and a swamp area of 500,000 hectares. The coastal natural conditions are superior, and the Marine fishery resources are rich. The total coastal fishing and shrimp fishing area covers 225,000 square kilometers.

In addition to the abundant Marine fisheries, the average annual rainfall in the interior of Myanmar ranges from 5,000 mm in coastal areas to 770mm in the central dry belt. Abundant rainfall provides good natural conditions for the development of freshwater fishery production in Myanmar. Myanmar has vast inland waters, including 1.28 million hectares of water that is not exhausted in all seasons. Myanmar's official forecast for the country's continuous annual output of aquatic products is more than 1.5 million tons.

Low-lying areas within the flood lines of Myanmar's other major rivers are breeding and feeding grounds for river fish. Mangrove areas are also breeding grounds for migratory fish and ideal habitat for brackish and freshwater fish. China is the largest importer of Burmese aquatic products, followed by Thailand.
