Guided by the State Administration of Fisheries and Fisheries of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and co-sponsored by the People's Government of Shuanghu County of Xizang, the "Xizang Shuanghu Halogens Egg Promotion and Customer Signing Activity" was held in Guangzhou on July 11, 2022. Shuanghu halogenated insect eggs is a scientific and technological assistance project of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs. In order to further open the halogenated insect eggs (Harvest worm) breeding market in Guangdong and occupy market share, Shuanghu County's good products will be sold to shrimp seedling and fish breeding factories in domestic coastal areas, and the achievements of the product promotion meeting in Foshan Jiujiang and Zhanjiang in 2021 will be consolidated. Representatives of aquaculture seedling enterprises, shrimp seedlings, fisheries institute and aquatic technology promotion station will be invited to participate in the event.


Located in the hinterland of Qiangtang Plateau, Shuanghu County covers an area of 116,700 square kilometers and has a population of 14,000. With an average altitude of 5,000 meters, Shuanghu County is the highest county in the world. With an average annual temperature of -5℃ and a lack of oxygen in the high cold, it is known as a "test zone for the limits of human life". The extreme environment of Shuanghu has bred the best resources of halogenated insect eggs. The halogenated insect eggs industry has become one of the main sources of income for the county finance and herdsmen, playing an important role in targeted poverty alleviation and rural revitalization.


Shuanghu deep-processing project of halogen eggs is a demonstration project of the industrialization of science and technology aid to Tibet. Ocean University of China and Yantai University are the supporting units of scientific research. The research contents include resource investigation, biological characteristics, germplasm protection, ecological environment, stable yield and proliferation, development of functional food and efficacy evaluation, etc. China Salt Engineering and Technology Research Institute provides quality testing; Zhejiang Fisheries Research Institute promotes the application of halogenated insect eggs from Shuanghu Lake in aquaculture seedling breeding; Asian Halogenated Insect Reference Center of Tianjin University of Science and Technology in fishery Science and technology, aiming at the characteristics of high unsaturated fatty acids and strong antioxidant properties of halogenated insect eggs from Shuanghu Lake, carries out a scale test on the application effect in the seedling breeding of Litopenaeus vannaeus and Marine fish. All of them have made important contributions to building the third pole of Shuanghu halogen egg brand in Xizang.


Shuanghu halobrined eggs have the advantages of high unsaturated fatty acid content (especially the highest EPA content among all strains and containing DHA), natural separation of egg shell and larvae, high hatching rate of 95%, no chemical reagent added, no pollution, no virus and so on. It is an excellent food for fish, shrimp, crab, jellyfish and other aquatic seedlings. The survival rate, immunity and economic value of the product of aquatic seedlings were significantly improved.
