We are ready to start fishing and set sail for a new journey. On the morning of August 16, the 20th South China Sea (Yangjiang) Fishing Festival was held in Hailing Island, a national AAAAA tourist attraction and one of China's "Ten beautiful islands". Liu Changhui, Party Secretary of the Agriculture and Rural Affairs Department of Guangdong Province, Feng Ling, Party Secretary of Yangjiang and Director of the Standing Committee of Yangjiang Municipal People's Congress, delivered speeches successively. Liu Changhui issued the fishing opening order. Yu Jinfu, Deputy Party secretary and mayor of Yangjiang, presided over the activity.

The activity started with songs and dances of "Fishing Song", "Century-old Promise" and "Opening the Door to the World". Melodious and passionate songs drove the atmosphere of the scene. At noon, as the fishing order was started, the whistle sounded, the gun salutes, the thousand sailboats competed, and the magnificent scene was staged in Zhaopo Wharf. Under the leadership of the leading boat, more than 800 fishing boats set out for the sea in the sound of people's farewell, and the hard-working fishermen began to cultivate the sea, herd and fish.

 Adhere to the appropriate fishing, stable production and supply, innovation and efficiency, green ecology, constantly improve the ability to exploit Marine fishery resources, and constantly enhance the quality, efficiency and competitiveness of Guangdong fishery specific practice.

The ocean is Yangjiang's advantage and potential.  At the same time, relevant authorities need to do a solid job of epidemic prevention and control on a regular basis, strengthen production safety management and safety risk prevention and control, and ensure the smooth fishing of fishermen.

In addition to the three traditional activities of issuing fishing orders, offering sacrifices to the sea, and sailing performance, there are also newly added Four Seasons of Hailing Happy Gathering, the first Lotus Festival of Hailing Island, "Guangdong Drunken Beauty Village" photography contest, "Moyang Taste" food week, fishing culture exhibition, fishing tourism Saturday activities.
